Cleaning House.....Not so Much

It's been a while since I posted a book review and the reason is I have been struggling with this latest book. Being a member of Blogging for Books I am sent a book per my request to read and review. Well I just can't stand to give a bad review. I have never had to give a bad review. In fact when the review isn't so good I make sure I find a least 3 goods things about wither the book or at least the author.

Cleaning House - Kay Wills WymaThe truth is this would have been a great read had I read it through the authors blog(if she has on) because this is a simple example of a person experiment she tried on her children. It took almost 3 chapters to explain how self centered and unappreciated her children were. Needless to say I wasn't impressed from the very beginning. Yet I kept picking the book up....only to put it down seconds later.

I love the fact that she was able to quote scripture in order to get her points accross, that is one thing I can learn from this book. It just wasn't what I was expecting....than again maybe it was just what I needed only long the long winded version.

But don't take my word for it, check it out for your self Cleaning House: A Mom's Twelve-Month Experiment to Rid Her Home of Youth Entitlement

**Disclaimer: I was provided a copy of this book from Blogging For Books through Waterbrook Multnomah in exchange for my honest opinion, no other compensation was given.

I Am Back!

Just when you thought it was over, you turn a corner and see me standing there. Yes I am back and blogging again.....

As I shared in my "final" post, I wasn't following the savings steps I was preaching therefore felt guilty and convicted of being someone I was not....the very thing I hated about blogging all together. However over the past few months I have come to realize, that Prudent Wisdom isn't about practicing what I preach.

Being Prudent is to be careful and practical, a way of practicing common sense....I was reaching too high.

And Wisdom is to utilize knowledge, experience and understanding.....I may not be the wisest of all fools but I do have the ability to think.

Together Prudent Wisdom is nothing more than one carefully traveling through the journeys of life and sharing each experience in the search of understanding. Whether it be through clipping coupons or pinching pennies being prudent is the way I survive.

So here I stand, well actually sit with a k…

I Tweeted in Church

OOPS!

No really it was the silent type so no reason form me to excuse myself or be embarrassed.

However I did blush a little when the quest pastor favorited my tweet.....

Yes you read that right "the quest pastor favorited my tweet"

But did he realize I tweeted while he was preaching?

I am not sure...

Maybe that's why he liked it??

Or maybe, it was his way of letting me know I was busted....

Which brings the question;

Is tweeting in Church considered rude?

What do you think?
