The Blessing Book Review

This book review has been a long time coming, though it would have been here sooner had I not left it at the bottom of my to do list. A to do list that ended up being a mile high, on the top of my desk =-0

The Blessing, giving the gift of unconditional love and acceptance, is an awesome book written by John Trent and Gary Smalley. Now I have read several books either written or co-authored by Gary Smalley but this is my first for John Trent.

The Blessing describes exactly how to give the gift of unconditional love and acceptance to your children and loved ones. This is a wonderful book for non-parents, new parents, professional parents and especially parents of blended families. I encourage every parent or prospective parents to read this book entirely and take to heart every piece of advise it gives you. You will not be disappointed!!

I strongly beleive this is one of the greatest books by far that every parent must read and I wish I had read it before I had children. That is why I encourage non-parents to read it even more. There is no way that you can emotionally prepare yourself for parenthood but The Blessing can bring you close enough to prepare for your purpose.

Being a parent isn't just bottle feeding and diapers, it is taking care of an extravagant gift that your father has given you. A gift that should be appreciated and cherished as a blessing. An unconditional love that only comes from parents that thrive on healthy relationships.

As much as I encourage non-parents to read this book I strongly erg parents of children at any age to read it, as it helps you find the blessing in other relationships through out your lives. Whether it be with you own families or even the family you dreamed of creating. The Blessing is full of advise on how to connect or reconnect broken relationships.

NOTE: Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from the publisher through the BookSneeze®.com  book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. I Am Back!

Just when you thought it was over, you turn a corner and see me standing there. Yes I am back and blogging again.....

As I shared in my "final" post, I wasn't following the savings steps I was preaching therefore felt guilty and convicted of being someone I was not....the very thing I hated about blogging all together. However over the past few months I have come to realize, that Prudent Wisdom isn't about practicing what I preach.

Being Prudent is to be careful and practical, a way of practicing common sense....I was reaching too high.

And Wisdom is to utilize knowledge, experience and understanding.....I may not be the wisest of all fools but I do have the ability to think.

Together Prudent Wisdom is nothing more than one carefully traveling through the journeys of life and sharing each experience in the search of understanding. Whether it be through clipping coupons or pinching pennies being prudent is the way I survive.

So here I stand, well actually sit with a k…

I Tweeted in Church

No really it was the silent type so no reason form me to excuse myself or be embarrassed.

However I did blush a little when the quest pastor favorited my tweet.....

Yes you read that right "the quest pastor favorited my tweet"

But did he realize I tweeted while he was preaching?

I am not sure...

Maybe that's why he liked it??

Or maybe, it was his way of letting me know I was busted....

Which brings the question;

Is tweeting in Church considered rude?

What do you think?

Thanks for Reading,
