Spirit of Giving

Through out the holiday we are all overwhelmed with our check lists trying to make sure we mark off 1 person at a time praying that we don't leave any one out. Often times Christmas is the #1 holiday in which most people are persistent on giving to the unfortunate. There are a number of food drives on every corner, bells ringing for charitable contributions in the form of funds and donation drop offs for non perishables for children and adults. Yet how often do you see drives for babies? Collections for diapers? Formula? Baby food?

Being that I no longer have a baby eating baby food, I don't think much about buying baby food even for a family trying to make ends meet, until it was brought to my attention the other day. There are more and more babies that are becoming homeless everyday where there parents are struggling to feed themselves much less the tiny mouth on their hip.

So I challenge you to make a donation of baby food to your local food bank and to help you out I have found some great coupons that will help you stretch your dollar far enough to help out more than just one family;

60¢ off Beech-Nut® Baby Cereal Printable Coupon

$1.10 off Beech-Nut® Stage 2 1/2™ Baby Food Glass Jars Printable Coupon

$1.85 off Beech-Nut® Stage 2 1/2™ Baby Food Glass Jars Printable Coupon

Check with your local food bank on restrictions for glass jars. however you can always search for a family in need and drop it off on their door step ;-)

I Am Back!

Just when you thought it was over, you turn a corner and see me standing there. Yes I am back and blogging again.....

As I shared in my "final" post, I wasn't following the savings steps I was preaching therefore felt guilty and convicted of being someone I was not....the very thing I hated about blogging all together. However over the past few months I have come to realize, that Prudent Wisdom isn't about practicing what I preach.

Being Prudent is to be careful and practical, a way of practicing common sense....I was reaching too high.

And Wisdom is to utilize knowledge, experience and understanding.....I may not be the wisest of all fools but I do have the ability to think.

Together Prudent Wisdom is nothing more than one carefully traveling through the journeys of life and sharing each experience in the search of understanding. Whether it be through clipping coupons or pinching pennies being prudent is the way I survive.

So here I stand, well actually sit with a k…

I Tweeted in Church

OOPS!

No really it was the silent type so no reason form me to excuse myself or be embarrassed.

However I did blush a little when the quest pastor favorited my tweet.....

Yes you read that right "the quest pastor favorited my tweet"

But did he realize I tweeted while he was preaching?

I am not sure...

Maybe that's why he liked it??

Or maybe, it was his way of letting me know I was busted....

Which brings the question;

Is tweeting in Church considered rude?

What do you think?
