Love Challenge~Day 1

Well here it is are you ready to begin? I am I am always up for a challenge especially if it is one to strengthen my relationship with God and my hubs ;-)

Read 1 Corinthians 13 (the love chapter) and jot down some of the thoughts that come to mind such as:
  • What is God's definition of love?
  • What are the characteristics of love?
  • In what areas of "loving" do I stumble the most?
  • What are a few of the steps I can take toward change?

Just a small note I saw verses 4-8 were highlighted in my Bible as I turned to this chapter for the daily challenge;
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoiced with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.....

In the darkest days of my marriage (many years ago) remember clinching to this verse. Not for the love between my hubs and I but for the love between me and my God. I knew regardless of how often I was told "I don't love you anymore" I knew God always will. Then He showed me how love perseveres by showing me how to love my hubs the way a wife is suppose to love her hubs.

Verse 11;
When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child.
When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.

When I married I didn't put anything behind me and still held on to independence, not leaning on my hubs for anything and ladies when men don't feel needed the don't feel loved.

Verse 13;
.And now these three remain; faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love

Today I need my hubs, I love to need my hubs, I love the need to need my hubs and he needs me ;-)

I Am Back!

Just when you thought it was over, you turn a corner and see me standing there. Yes I am back and blogging again.....

As I shared in my "final" post, I wasn't following the savings steps I was preaching therefore felt guilty and convicted of being someone I was not....the very thing I hated about blogging all together. However over the past few months I have come to realize, that Prudent Wisdom isn't about practicing what I preach.

Being Prudent is to be careful and practical, a way of practicing common sense....I was reaching too high.

And Wisdom is to utilize knowledge, experience and understanding.....I may not be the wisest of all fools but I do have the ability to think.

Together Prudent Wisdom is nothing more than one carefully traveling through the journeys of life and sharing each experience in the search of understanding. Whether it be through clipping coupons or pinching pennies being prudent is the way I survive.

So here I stand, well actually sit with a k…

I Tweeted in Church

OOPS!

No really it was the silent type so no reason form me to excuse myself or be embarrassed.

However I did blush a little when the quest pastor favorited my tweet.....

Yes you read that right "the quest pastor favorited my tweet"

But did he realize I tweeted while he was preaching?

I am not sure...

Maybe that's why he liked it??

Or maybe, it was his way of letting me know I was busted....

Which brings the question;

Is tweeting in Church considered rude?

What do you think?
