Bible in 90 Days

Yes I am at it again only this time I am a mentor, YAY!!!

Have you ever tried to read through the bible in a year, only to get through November and realize that it has been months since you last picked up your Bible?

I often found my self up for the reading challenge in January and then falling off the wagon when summer time hit. Picking my Bible up for Church and Bible studies only because it was on my mind at that time. By the time the holidays would hit I would realize that I had forgotten about my yearly challenge and become overwhelmed with the amount of catching up that it would take to actually finish in due time.

Then I found Amy over at Mom's Tool box, she was going to start blogging through the Bible in 90 days and I was so excited to jump aboard. I thought that there was now way I could fail at this; it's only 3 months compared to 12, how hard could that be!?

Needless to say it is a lot harder than it seems, it took my 3 tries to finally be considered a Bible in 90 Days graduate but it was well worth the efforts ;-)

My relationship grew stronger with God and I was able to minister to others more based on the knowledge I was enduring through the Bible about what God has done and can do for us. Sticking with it during such a small amount of time rather than an abundance of time was like an adrenaline rush. I was able to remember what it was I had just read rather than refreshing myself before each study time.

This is a very powerful challenge, so powerful that not only am I encouraging you to take it I am urging you to take it. Challenging you to challenge yourself into reading the greatest novel ever written.

The challenge begins July 11th, goes thru Oct 8th and is online over at Mom's Tool Box. There you can sign up and download  your reading schedule to keep with you, in your Bible as a book mark. You will be required to check in every Monday to document your status, therefor it may be best for you to subscribe to Mom's Tool Box in order to keep up with chats/check ins better (that's what I did). I will also try my best to post more frequently on the challenge here at Prudent Wisdom, so if you haven't yet subscribed.....WHY NOT??

Everyone will also be chatting all about it on Twitter with the hash tag #B90Days and don't for get to like us on FB ;-)

As I mentioned not only am I going to do this challenge again I am also a mentor this go around and if you would like for me to be your mentor just type in Dana aka Frugalistic Mama in your last question on the sign up registration form ;-)

I am so excited to be a mentor!!

You can also find more about the Bible in 90 Days Ministry at and even purchase the official Bible in 90 Days Bible, however your own Bible will work too ;-)

I Am Back!

Just when you thought it was over, you turn a corner and see me standing there. Yes I am back and blogging again.....

As I shared in my "final" post, I wasn't following the savings steps I was preaching therefore felt guilty and convicted of being someone I was not....the very thing I hated about blogging all together. However over the past few months I have come to realize, that Prudent Wisdom isn't about practicing what I preach.

Being Prudent is to be careful and practical, a way of practicing common sense....I was reaching too high.

And Wisdom is to utilize knowledge, experience and understanding.....I may not be the wisest of all fools but I do have the ability to think.

Together Prudent Wisdom is nothing more than one carefully traveling through the journeys of life and sharing each experience in the search of understanding. Whether it be through clipping coupons or pinching pennies being prudent is the way I survive.

So here I stand, well actually sit with a k…

I Tweeted in Church

No really it was the silent type so no reason form me to excuse myself or be embarrassed.

However I did blush a little when the quest pastor favorited my tweet.....

Yes you read that right "the quest pastor favorited my tweet"

But did he realize I tweeted while he was preaching?

I am not sure...

Maybe that's why he liked it??

Or maybe, it was his way of letting me know I was busted....

Which brings the question;

Is tweeting in Church considered rude?

What do you think?

Thanks for Reading,
