My Black Friday (Part 2)

I decided since I had such an extravagant list of transactions from CVS I would apply my Wags list in a separate post.
As I stated in my first Black Friday post, I was not impressed with Walgreen's what so ever. So many rules and restrictions regarding there Register Rewards frustrated me. Yet I was lucky enough to be approached by a manager that understood what I was trying to do and tried to help me out the best that he could by explaining to me the whys and why nots. Sadly enough I omitted transactions that I had mapped out just to get this experience over with, therefore you will see my OOP exceeds my goal;

Transaction 1;
  • 1 Bic Flex Razor pack $2.99
  • 1 Crest Tp $2.99
  • 1 Colgate Tp $2.99
  • 1 Centrum Silver $3.49
  • - $1.00 Centrum qp
  • - $1.00 Crest qp
  • - $1.00 Colgate qp
  • - $2.00 bic qp
  • = $8.61 OOP(it)
  • + $11.23 RR
This next transaction is where the confusion/frustration came into play and the cashier called for her manager. He was nice enough to fix the transaction to look like this:

Transaction 2;
  • 1 A&W Root beer $.99
  • 1 Scunci hair tie $1.99
  • 1 G-U-M floss picks $2.25
  • - RRs from Trans.1
  • = $2.71 OOP(it)
  • + $12.74 RRs
This is where I gave up and piled the rest of my product on the register to be rang up. My son spotted a few items that he wonted for Christmas that I knew I could not afford alone and being that I could use RRs toward it I check out like this:

Transaction 3;
  • 1 Secret expressions body spray $3.39
  • 1 Gillette fusions facial cleanser $5.49
  • 1 Oral B Tb $2.25
  • 1 Nivea shave gel $2.99
  • 1 Old Spice body spray $3.99
  • 1 Thermacare heart wrap $2.49
  • 1 Advil PM $.99
  • - $12.74 RRs from trans.2
  • = $10.96 OOP(it)
  • + $20.74 RRs
Gran TOTAL OOP= $22.19 with $20.74 in RRs my technical total OOP= $1.45. I didn't do too bad just not as good as I mapped out. Did I say I was disappointed? I WAS!!
