OAMC Not by Choice

Right before we left for Church camp my deep freeze was left open. I am not sure for how long but it was long enough that I had to do some unscheduled cooking. I had a pork loin, roast, T-bone steaks and some ribs. I knew that my hubby would not cook these nightly while we were gone so on my day of packing I was also cooking, though I did take the ribs and roast to my parents, who have provided many of many dinners for us.

I wish now that I wrote everything down as I went to share these recipes with you, however I will say that I used McCormick rub packets along with grilling seasonings to add flavor. I just followed the directions on the back of the labels, LOL. Though, I do want to share with you the power of frozen milk. I had about 4 gallons of milk in my refrigerator and had heard that you could freeze milk in the jug that it came in, which inspired me to give it a test run. I followed the direction and poured out I cup because it was told milk expands, yet it was inadequate on how much it expands. This was the culprit to my freezer door being open! That's right it expanded so much and so powerful that it opened my freezer door, therefore next time I will make sure that it sits in the very back. Yet, there wasn't any milk spilt out?

This mishap created 5 more meals to my OAMC, therefore, I now have backups in case something goes wrong. My creations consist of 2 pork roast (each with a different seasoning), 7 pork chops (3 with one seasoning and 4 with another), and 4 T-bone steak marinated for the grill with the donations to my wonderful parents who had ribs and beef roast while we were gone. =0)

That happened to us when Hurricane Charlie came through. Our electricity went out and I had a freezer full.
I grilled up anything I could.
Glad you are able to cook them up and keep them for later..

I Am Back!

Just when you thought it was over, you turn a corner and see me standing there. Yes I am back and blogging again.....

As I shared in my "final" post, I wasn't following the savings steps I was preaching therefore felt guilty and convicted of being someone I was not....the very thing I hated about blogging all together. However over the past few months I have come to realize, that Prudent Wisdom isn't about practicing what I preach.

Being Prudent is to be careful and practical, a way of practicing common sense....I was reaching too high.

And Wisdom is to utilize knowledge, experience and understanding.....I may not be the wisest of all fools but I do have the ability to think.

Together Prudent Wisdom is nothing more than one carefully traveling through the journeys of life and sharing each experience in the search of understanding. Whether it be through clipping coupons or pinching pennies being prudent is the way I survive.

So here I stand, well actually sit with a k…

I Tweeted in Church

No really it was the silent type so no reason form me to excuse myself or be embarrassed.

However I did blush a little when the quest pastor favorited my tweet.....

Yes you read that right "the quest pastor favorited my tweet"

But did he realize I tweeted while he was preaching?

I am not sure...

Maybe that's why he liked it??

Or maybe, it was his way of letting me know I was busted....

Which brings the question;

Is tweeting in Church considered rude?

What do you think?
