Swags for Nashville Flood Relief

Search & Win

I want to re introduce to you a wonderful search engine. I stumbled upon this through another fellow blogger many moons ago and thought it was either another scam or some way for viruses to eat my computer, until I read another blogger actually won a Wii from it. I was intrigued none the less, therefore I signed up and have been collecting points ever since.

Simply by searching the web through my Swag bar I have been able to earn over 1600 points. I have had my eye on an iPod touch for a while and have concluded that with our budget so tight this would be the only way I will actually be able to purchase one. Now I just make things up when I am bored just to be using it, lol. I know that there are more ways to earn than just my frame of mind but so far I am doing good...considering.

Yet tonight I am even more fascinated with this search engine. I have spent most of my week working with the PTO on Teacher Appreciation Week and heading up a flood relief drive for the 2 families that where effected by the 2010 flood in our area. I have been overwhelmed with support and donations due to the fact that parents have pulled there work teams together from near and far to make sure that these families are getting what they need to start again.

Being that I have yet to see any concern through the blogosphere, of course I could be looking in the wrong areas, may be why I was emotional when I saw a pic of Nashville under water on the SwagBucks home page. Seems they are making flood relief efforts as well. From now to June first you can actually donate your points in way of cash to flood relief efforts in Nashville via SwagBucks.

All donations will go directly to the Nashville Red Cross and if you are familiar with SB here is the break down;
10,000,000 SB = $100,000.00
7,500,000 SB = $73,750.00
5,000,000 SB = $47,500.00
2,500,000 SB = $23,250.00
1,500,000 SB = $13,750.00
1,000,000 SB = $9,000.00
750,000 SB = $6,375.00
500,000 SB = $4,050.00
250,000 SB = $1,925.00
200,000 SB = $1,500.00
135,000 SB - $1,000.00
If you are not signed up go here to get stated and if are already a member donations are only a click away!

I Am Back!

Just when you thought it was over, you turn a corner and see me standing there. Yes I am back and blogging again.....

As I shared in my "final" post, I wasn't following the savings steps I was preaching therefore felt guilty and convicted of being someone I was not....the very thing I hated about blogging all together. However over the past few months I have come to realize, that Prudent Wisdom isn't about practicing what I preach.

Being Prudent is to be careful and practical, a way of practicing common sense....I was reaching too high.

And Wisdom is to utilize knowledge, experience and understanding.....I may not be the wisest of all fools but I do have the ability to think.

Together Prudent Wisdom is nothing more than one carefully traveling through the journeys of life and sharing each experience in the search of understanding. Whether it be through clipping coupons or pinching pennies being prudent is the way I survive.

So here I stand, well actually sit with a k…

I Tweeted in Church

No really it was the silent type so no reason form me to excuse myself or be embarrassed.

However I did blush a little when the quest pastor favorited my tweet.....

Yes you read that right "the quest pastor favorited my tweet"

But did he realize I tweeted while he was preaching?

I am not sure...

Maybe that's why he liked it??

Or maybe, it was his way of letting me know I was busted....

Which brings the question;

Is tweeting in Church considered rude?

What do you think?
