Ground Beef (OAMC) Menu Part 1

Well I have prepared all week to cook my monthly meal tonight and my hubby has changed the schedule on me. Him being off work for the first time in 2 weeks he feels the need to cook for his family himself, I am not one to argue, ;-) Especially since this gives me more time to catch up on my blog...now that I have neglected it for more than a week. :-( Therefore I will now only cook a portion of my monthly menu tonight and start back on the rest when he goes back to work.

First of I have to share with you the story line behind this menu, just in case you are wondering why I am only cooking ground beef. This is not what we will eat all month, I just know that if I don't get it cooked up now I will never get it done when school lets out for the summer.

Way back when on Super Bowl Sunday my hubby was on shift, which was great for him...there were no kids to interrupt, lol. Yet it wasn't so great for our budget being that there was a pot going around on scores. Not wanting to be the odd man out he, of course, put $20 in on a square. He proceeded to tell me the story after the fact, I was so upset that he could trow away $20 when we were working so hard on getting things paid off. I was even more upset when he told me that it wasn't even money he had the chance of winning. There was no reason for him to tell me anymore, it wasn't like we were going to win, what ever it was, anyhow.

The next day he came home with a huge grin on his face telling me to make room in the freezer that he had one the pot and the pot contained 1/2 of a cow. I laughed at confusion. This was just another way that God was telling us that everything was under control because 1/2 of a cow was being slaughtered and processed in order to feed our family for just $20 out of our pocket. I don't think I could have been anymore excited if I had won money instead.

The day that our "lottery" was delivered you would have though it was just that...THE LOTTERY. I had to take pics to share;
We have steaks, roast, t-bones, ground beef and more, needless to say my hubby has had more steaks for diner in the last month than in his lifetime, lol.

Now you can find the recipes that I am using tonight for ground beef at Recipezaar, I will revise it when I continue for my monthly process.

I Am Back!

Just when you thought it was over, you turn a corner and see me standing there. Yes I am back and blogging again.....

As I shared in my "final" post, I wasn't following the savings steps I was preaching therefore felt guilty and convicted of being someone I was not....the very thing I hated about blogging all together. However over the past few months I have come to realize, that Prudent Wisdom isn't about practicing what I preach.

Being Prudent is to be careful and practical, a way of practicing common sense....I was reaching too high.

And Wisdom is to utilize knowledge, experience and understanding.....I may not be the wisest of all fools but I do have the ability to think.

Together Prudent Wisdom is nothing more than one carefully traveling through the journeys of life and sharing each experience in the search of understanding. Whether it be through clipping coupons or pinching pennies being prudent is the way I survive.

So here I stand, well actually sit with a k…

I Tweeted in Church

OOPS!

No really it was the silent type so no reason form me to excuse myself or be embarrassed.

However I did blush a little when the quest pastor favorited my tweet.....

Yes you read that right "the quest pastor favorited my tweet"

But did he realize I tweeted while he was preaching?

I am not sure...

Maybe that's why he liked it??

Or maybe, it was his way of letting me know I was busted....

Which brings the question;

Is tweeting in Church considered rude?

What do you think?
