Reading the Bible in 90 Days Update

I totally vamped up for this awesome challenge yet when the gun fired I fell flat on my face. I never thought that reading my bible would become such a challenge. I got through Genesis with lessons learned and my heart thinking, along with every intention to keep going. Yet I haven’t picked my Bible up since :-( Though it is not the fact that I so easily put it down that is bothering me, it is the fact that I had/have a support group that I have let down.

Although I have to say I believe that this challenge has encouraged the Lord to work harder on throwing me obvious signs that I am no longer able to miss or it has just opened my eyes to them even more, then again this could be my guilty conscience speaking out loud. Either way I am getting the spiritual messages that he is sending me regarding the actions in which I have recently chosen to take.
This past Saturday I could have used valuable time to catch up in my Bible reading yet instead I wasted time catching up on my internet reading or trying to catch up any way….my computer locked up and my hashtags stopped working so for hours I tried to figure out the problems, not getting anything done. The next day, Sunday, I did not go to church, though I haven’t gone since my baby was born due to the fact that it is freezing outside and I have yet to get out with all 3 of my kids all by myself (my husband has been working 12’s and 24’s). That night I did get out taking care of a few of my customers with my children in hand, so of course I get pulled over only to discover that my proof of insurance has mysteriously disappeared. HHHMMMM?
I am anticipating purchasing podcasts in order to catch up, but isn’t that considered cheating? I mean the whole point is actually reading your Bible in 90 days, listening to it can merely take 1 hour or more (I assume). I don’t want to insult anyone who is using podcasts because with 3 children, 1 being 2 months old, I don’t see any other way I would be able to stay up to date in this challenge without them. On the other hand The Happy House Wife, with her 7 children, makes my sorry excuses look like shameful whining.

Being that I only feel disappointed rather than discouraged I will always recommend this challenge to everyone.

Lord,
Thank you for Frugalistic Mama's honesty. Please help us as we get to know You better. Please help us both to find a balance with our time especially with the computer and Your Word. Please make things distasteful to us that are not pleasing to You. Please open our eyes to Your Will especially in the use of our time. Thank You for the privilege of being able to know You through Your Word that I know for myself I often take for granted including the freedom we still have to read it and not be arrested. Thank You for sending Your Son and giving us the written word. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen
It is definitely a tough challenge!! Any chance you're still reading along with us?
Yes I amstill following way behind but still here!

I Am Back!

Just when you thought it was over, you turn a corner and see me standing there. Yes I am back and blogging again.....

As I shared in my "final" post, I wasn't following the savings steps I was preaching therefore felt guilty and convicted of being someone I was not....the very thing I hated about blogging all together. However over the past few months I have come to realize, that Prudent Wisdom isn't about practicing what I preach.

Being Prudent is to be careful and practical, a way of practicing common sense....I was reaching too high.

And Wisdom is to utilize knowledge, experience and understanding.....I may not be the wisest of all fools but I do have the ability to think.

Together Prudent Wisdom is nothing more than one carefully traveling through the journeys of life and sharing each experience in the search of understanding. Whether it be through clipping coupons or pinching pennies being prudent is the way I survive.

So here I stand, well actually sit with a k…

I Tweeted in Church

OOPS!

No really it was the silent type so no reason form me to excuse myself or be embarrassed.

However I did blush a little when the quest pastor favorited my tweet.....

Yes you read that right "the quest pastor favorited my tweet"

But did he realize I tweeted while he was preaching?

I am not sure...

Maybe that's why he liked it??

Or maybe, it was his way of letting me know I was busted....

Which brings the question;

Is tweeting in Church considered rude?

What do you think?
